FAQ

Based on the reviewers' opinions and the editorial team's decision, JGERI is obliged to decide on the status of the manuscripts within 2 months.

GERI gives authors a minimum of 21 days to make the necessary corrections to the manuscript and complete the reviewers’ response. However, if the authors need more time, they can correspond with the journal by email to extend this time.

Authors can track the current status of their manuscript via their profile on the JGERI website. The corresponding author will also be kept up to date by email.

Dear authors, before the final acceptance of the manuscript by the journal, you can withdraw from the review process of the manuscript. This withdrawal is possible via the corresponding author and by e-mail to the journal office.

JGERI gives authors the opportunity to resubmit the manuscript to the journal with a new issue if the manuscript was rejected based on the opinion of the reviewers and editorial board members and provided that the authors correct and improve the manuscript according to the reviewers’ comments. It should be noted that this problem should be explained in detail in the cover letter and the editor-in-chief should be informed. After reviewing the corrections made by the editor-in-chief and the corresponding author's galley proofs for resubmission of the manuscript, the editor-in-chief makes the final decision of acceptance/rejection of the manuscript for the review process.

Changes to the order of author names or the number of authors can only be made by the corresponding author before the final acceptance decision.

With the permission and at the request of the corresponding author, it is possible to change the corresponding author by sending an email request to the journal before the final acceptance is announced.

JGERI offers this opportunity to any real or legal author affiliated with a private or government organization who can submit a manuscript to the journal as a corresponding author.

The maximum acceptable similarity of the manuscript is 15%. If the manuscript submitted to the journal has a similarity of more than 20%, it will be rejected in the first phase.

JGERI does not charge any fees for the review and publication of articles.
